Prayagraj: 18 students of various higher educational institutions of Prayagraj have succeeded in getting the prestigious scholarship of the Central Government, bringing laurels to their respective institutions and the city.
In addition, two research scholars from the Department of Commerce and Business Administration, University of Allahabad, AC Pandey, have secured prestigious doctoral fellowships from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. Last year, Pandey’s research scholar Smita Dixit got the Institutional Full Time Doctoral Fellowship, while this year another of Pandey’s research scholar Shivam Upadhyay got the ICSSR doctoral fellowship.
As per the merit list made available on the official website of University Grants Commission (UGC), 18 students of Prayagraj institutions have secured all India level scholarships, including Indira Gandhi PG scholarship for single girl child, PG for university rank holder candidate Scholarships are included. PG Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST Candidates- Result of which has been recently announced by UGC on National Scholarship Portal.
The students belong to Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad University (AU), Nehru Gram Bharati Vishwavidyalaya (NGBU) and Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Science (SHUATS). This time the meritorious students who were awarded PG scholarship for university rank holder candidate include Siddhi Pandey and Vidushi Garg, both students of Master of Commerce (MCM) course at AU, apart from Dwaram Mridula of MSc (Agriculture) course in Shoots. Similarly, Indira Gandhi PG Scholarship for Single Girl Child has been awarded to Akanta Paul and Rachkatla Divya Bhavani, both students of MSc (Agriculture) course in Shoots.
Similarly, of the 14 students who have been awarded PG scholarships for vocational courses for SC/ST candidates, seven students of 3-year Master of Computer Application (MCA) course at MNNIT including Abhishek Aadhar, Jai Kishan, Preeti Kumari Are included.
Apart from Rashmi Bharti, Sharad Kumar, Shishu and Vishal Sidh, Sunil Kumar of Master of Education course at Nehru Gram Bharati University and Abhishek Kumar of M.Tech (Food Technology) course in Shoots along with Arpit Kumar, a student of Master of Business Administration (MBA) course , Kumari and Nikhil Kumar Kannojia of Jyothi AU as well as Sandeep Kumar of the Master of Education (MED) program at AU.
Postgraduate Scholarship for University Rank Holders is awarded to students who are 1st and 2nd rank holders at the undergraduate level and admitted to any recognized university, deemed university, private university, autonomous college or any regular, full time master’s degree course Has happened. Similarly, the postgraduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child has been specially launched with the objective of meeting the direct cost of girl child education for girls who happen to be the only girl child in their family.
