Citroen C3 Aircross SUV Unveiled Ahead Of 2023 Launch, To Rival Hyundai Creta

The Citroen C3 Aircross SUV has been unveiled in India as the French automaker’s fourth car in the country. Furthermore, the car will be the third model to carry the C3 name after the hatchback and the electric version of the car. Despite the similar moniker, the car comes with different capabilities than its predecessors in India. The automaker has also designed the SUV to be a capable off-roader. It is to be noted that the SUV will target the hot market of compact SUVs in India dominated by Indian and Korean automakers. The company announced that the C3 Aircross SUV will be available for sale in India by late 2023.

As far as exterior design is concerned, the Citroen C3 Aircross remains very similar to its predecessor. Some of the key details include the Citroen logo integrated into the grille. At the front, the two-layer chrome plated design is complemented by Y-shaped DRLs, below which is the headlamp. The front bumper houses the GateX dedicated air intakes.

The side of the Citroen C3 features rounded wheel arches and a design reminiscent of other C3 models. The car stands on alloy wheels, which gives it a ground clearance of 200 mm. Similarly, at the ear end, the car gets square-shaped tail lamps, which make the SUV look bigger than the hatchback. It is worth mentioning here that the top-end variant of the car will also be offered with a dual-tone paint scheme.

Two seating options will be offered in the Citroen C3 Aircross SUV, including five and 7-seater options. Apart from this, the SUV will be loaded with features like 10.2-inch touchscreen, second-row AC vents and more. To make it better in all terrains, the company offers several driving modes.

The Citroen C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 110 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. This is the same engine that powers the C3. In terms of gearbox options, the C3 will be offered with a six-speed manual.

Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq are some of the well-known rivals that the C3 Aircross will compete against once launched in India.
