Cinematographer Yamini steps out of Dhanush-Selvaraghavan’s maternal grandfather Varun

Actor Dhanush is currently busy shooting for his brother and noted filmmaker Selvaraghavan’s new project Naane Varuven. Nana Varuven went on floors in October this year as soon as Dhanush wrapped up the shooting of Maaran. As the shooting was going on, the film’s cinematographer Yamini Yagyamurthy announced her departure from the crew.

Yamini said in a tweet that due to unavoidable reasons she is opting out of the project.

“Working with the director @selvaraghavan and the creative team of #naanevaruven was a great experience and learning. Due to unavoidable reasons, I have decided to exit the project,” the tweet said.

Yamini ended the tweet by writing, “Good luck to the team! Thanks for the help.” Yamini was also part of the crew of Selvaraghavan and Keerthy Suresh’s action-drama Sani Kayidham, so her decision to leave Nana Varuven’s team came as a bit of a shock.

Initially, Arvind Krishna was reported to be handling the camera of the film, but he dropped it and was replaced by Yamini Yagyamurthy. And, now with the shock of Yamini exiting the film crew, the makers of the action-thriller are yet to announce who will be the next cinematographer.

Before Nana Varuven, the two brothers have worked together in four films. Selvaraghavan had earlier announced that he would be working free of camera after a hiatus of 18 years. He also shared many pictures from behind the camera.

Directed by Kalaipuli S Thanu, the film marks the reunion of actor Dhanush, director Selvaraghavan and composer Yuvan Shankar Raja.
