As per the source, Meher Ramesh has not approved some scenes of the project, so Bhola Shankar may shift its release date from April 14, 2023 to May.

Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi has been garnering accolades from all over since his latest release Waltair Veeraiyya. In the film, the audience saw a new comic avatar of the action star. The project clashed with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy at the box office in the Sankranthi week. However, Waltair Veeraiya fared better and has collected Rs 170 crore worldwide since its release on 13 January.

For Chiranjeevi, 2023 has started with impressive numbers at the box office and his fans are hoping that the actor’s next film Bhola Shankar maintains the same momentum at the ticket window.

Amidst the ongoing speculations about the release date of the much-awaited film, now a new update has come to the fore regarding the release of the film. The film was earlier scheduled to release on April 14, 2023. However, now some reports are claiming that the release of Bhola Shankar may get delayed. According to an industry source, director Meher Ramesh has not approved certain scenes of the project in the post-production work. It is speculated that the actors may have to re-shoot some scenes. The source told that now the makers of Bhola Shankar can shift the release of the film to May.

This is the first time that Chiranjeevi and Meher Ramesh have collaborated for a film. Chiranjeevi plays the lead role in Bhola Shankar, the official remake of the 2015 Tamil film Vedalam, which also stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Keerthy Suresh. Murali Sharma, Pragati, Vennela Kishore and Rao Ramesh are in important roles in the film. Earlier, Sai Pallavi had turned down the opportunity to play Chiranjeevi’s sister in the film due to creative differences with the makers and was replaced by Keerthy Suresh.

In an interview, Sai Pallavi later said, “I declined to do a remake role as I am usually nervous about doing it. Otherwise why miss the chance to work with star Chiranjeevi sir? Wherever I People ask if I have met Chiranjeevi sir. It would be an honor to work with Chiranjeevi sir.”
