Chiranjeevi has no plans to rejoin politics, says Naga Babu

Tollywood actor Konidela Nagendra Babu, popularly known as Naga Babu, visited Vizianagaram on June 3 and met Jana Sena Party leaders and supporters. The actor-turned-politician contested the 2019 general election from Narasapuram Lok Sabha constituency as a candidate of Jana Sena Party founded by film star Pawan Kalyan. Naga Babu said on the occasion that his brother megastar Chiranjeevi is fond of films and is currently satisfied with it.

According to Naga Babu, Chiranjeevi is busy with his films and contribution to the film industry, and has no desire to return to active politics.

According to Naga Babu, Chiranjeevi is unlikely to join the Jana Sena Party, who also indicated that Jana Sena will always have his support, even if he is not actively involved.

“JSP has always had the moral support of Chiranjeevi. However, Chiranjeevi is not in a position to join politics.

Responding to a question about Jana Sena Party’s alliance with other political parties, Naga Babu said the decision would be taken by party president Pawan Kalyan.

He also said that JSP is ready for elections, whatever time they are. He claimed that the leaders of the YSR Congress Party are aware of the impending doom which is why they are campaigning from door to door. Naga Babu further said that anyone who does not support JSP cannot be considered a fan of the megastar.

Nagababu claimed that many political leaders had looted the wealth of North Andhra in the past, but the Jana Sena would lead Vizianagaram on the path of progress and development. He claimed that all political parties, including YSRCP, have neglected North Andhra, and they are exploiting the region instead of developing it.

Pawan Kalyan formed the Jana Sena Party in 2014 after his brother Chiranjeevi merged his Praja Rajyam Party with the Congress. However, Chiranjeevi has stayed away from active politics since the 2014 general elections. His term as a Rajya Sabha member ended in April 2018.
