Hyderabad: In a major anti naxal Six Maoists, including four women, were gunned down in the forest area of Kishtram police station area on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border on Monday morning.
Police said the encounter took place in Pesallapadu area. Soul district, near Telangana Seema, around seven in the morning. Several Maoists fled after the firing, police said. The identity of the six killed Naxalites is yet to be ascertained. Kothagudem Police said that the deceased, who Chattisgarh, was a member of the Armed Forces.

Security forces have been conducting searches in the area for the past few days after Maoists attacked a policeman using an explosive device.
