6 people died due to poisonous gas in Surat, Gujarat. These include workers and laborers of a nearby printing mill. The condition of more than 25 people is said to be critical. The accident happened in the early hours of today in Sachin area. The fire department reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. At present, all the affected have been referred to the Civil Hospital for treatment.

The production manager of the printing mill claims that a tanker full of chemicals was standing outside the mill. Its pipe was inserted in the drainage line. Due to the reaction of the chemical released from it, the gas formed and spread around.

Dr. Omkar Choudhary of Surat Civil Hospital said that the gas leak was reported at around 5 am. After this 20 patients were brought by ambulance for treatment. Out of this, 5 patients died. At present the condition of some of these patients is fine and the condition of some remains critical.

Suddenly something smelled and everyone started falling
An employee of a sari mill told that suddenly there was some smell and one after the other people started falling. As soon as this happened, everyone started running away. Dilip Kumar, who worked as a helper in the mill, said, “Smoke was coming out of a chemical tanker. People were being taken out. When we went and saw, 3 of them were our people. About 15-20 people were lying on the ground. Help came around 3:30.
