Television actress Charu Asopa Sen shared pictures from her baby shower on her Instagram handle on Monday. The actress, who is expecting her first child with actress Sushmita Sen’s younger brother Rajeev Sen, wore a traditional outfit. Apart from celebrating the pregnancy, the couple was also celebrating the fact that they have shifted to a new house.
In a picture shared by the actress, Charu was seen in a red and yellow outfit with husband Rajeev, who was dressed in a beige kurta and pyjama. The couple posed for the camera on the balcony of their new home, which overlooked the city. Charu wrote in the caption, “Photos of our baby shower from the balcony of our new home.”
The actress shared another series of pictures giving her 670k Instagram followers a glimpse of the interiors of the new home. The house was decorated with flower arrangements for the occasion as the excited couple posed for pictures. Charu expressed her pregnancy experience in the caption and wrote, “Having a baby is like falling in love again with both your husband and your child.”
Speaking to The Times of India, Rajeev said that the festivities went very well and described it as a family gathering. Rajiv also told the national daily that he did not invite any friends to the occasion and only family members, including his aunt and her husband, attended. Sushmita, her daughters Renee, Alisa and her partner Rohman also attended the ceremony. Talking about the new house, Rajeev said that buying a property is a blessing as the couple has got the house at the right time. Rajeev said that the time is right as their baby is also coming soon. “We would like to see this house as a home for our new baby. Charu is seven months pregnant now. God be merciful,” said Rajiv.
