New Delhi: Prime minister Narendra Modi emphasized on Tuesday’s presence BJP Sources said MPs in Parliament have been saying that “changes” may happen over time if they don’t change themselves.
The Prime Minister said that party MPs should regularly attend Parliament proceedings and remarked that even children do not repeat anything if the issue is raised repeatedly.
The Prime Minister said this at a meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Party at the Ambedkar International Center here. PM Modi has flagged off the poor attendance of BJP MPs many times in the past.
Tuesday’s meeting was held outside the Parliament complex for the first time.
‘Ready to revoke suspension if opposition MPs apologise’
Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs pralhad joshi Said on Tuesday that if suspended Rajya Sabha MPs apologise, their suspension will be revoked.
The minister also said that the ministers gave the reason for the suspension of the MPs during the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting. Joshi said after the meeting, “We explained why they had to be suspended. Whatever happened, the country has seen. It is on record. If they apologize even today, we are ready to withdraw the suspension.” ”
A total of 12 opposition MPs were suspended from the Rajya Sabha for the rest of the winter session of Parliament for allegedly creating a ruckus on the last day of the monsoon session.
Program for Padma Awardees
Giving details of the meeting, Joshi said that PM Modi has directed to organize events with Padma awardees.
Joshi said, “Padma awards have been given to common citizens doing good work. PM has asked to organize programmes, such awardees are on live contact (during the programme).”
PM asks MPs to organize sports competitions
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the Prime Minister also asked party MPs to organize sports competitions in their respective constituencies.
“In today’s meeting, the Prime Minister has called for organizing sports competitions like Surya Namaskar competition to encourage youth to make health a priority,” the Union Minister said after the meeting in New Delhi.
Meeting with district and mandal heads on December 14
Prime minister Narendra Modi Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said on Tuesday that he has called a meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party’s district presidents and divisional presidents on December 14 in Kashi, Uttar Pradesh.
In the meeting, BJP President JP Nadda asked the party MPs to call the District Presidents and Mandal Presidents from their respective constituencies for tea and talk to them.
At the beginning of the meeting, MPs including Union Minister Arjun Munda congratulated Prime Minister Modi for celebrating Birsa Munda’s birthday as ‘Jati Jaati Diwas’.
A book compiling the work done by various ministers on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was also distributed among BJP MPs.
Union Ministers including Amit Shah, Piyush Goyal, S Jaishankar, Pralhad Joshi, Jitendra Singh, were present in the party’s parliamentary meeting along with BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda.
