Chandigarh: Chandigarh Police on Thursday (July 8) summoned Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, his sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri and 7 others linked to the actor’s Being Human Foundation in an alleged fraud case. The ‘Bharat’ actor and others have been given time till July 13 to respond in the matter.
Arun Gupta had filed a complaint alleging fraud against Salman, his sister, the CEO of Being Human and other officials. The businessman claimed that two Being Human employees asked him to open a franchise in Chandigarh.
Chandigarh SP Ketan Bansal was quoted as saying by ANI, “They have been given time till July 13 to reply. If there is anything criminal, action will be taken.”
Gupta alleged that he did not get any stock after opening the showroom. He said the Being Human staff arranged a meet-and-greet session with Salman Khan and the ‘Race 3’ star promised to take care of the issues. He said that even after a year and a half, he did not get anything.
On the professional front, Salman was last seen in ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’. Action drama co-starring Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Randeep Hooda releases soplex and led the DTH platform on 13th May. Despite receiving tepid reviews, the film managed to do well on the OTT platform.
Salman has many exciting films in his kitty including ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ and ‘Tiger 3’. He will be working with Katrina Kaif for the third installment of the ‘Tiger’ franchise, which is produced by YRF Films. The Bhaijaan of Bollywood will be seen romancing Pooja Hegde in ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’, which is expected to change its title.
