In the Sersa Stadium of Chakradharpur Railway Division, there was such a mix of song, music and dance on Tuesday that even the top railway officials were forced to dance. The occasion was operating cum traffic night. The program was jointly organized by the Department of Operating, Commercial and Signal and Telecom of the Railway Division.
This special night was organized by Chakradharpur Railway Division to celebrate the achievement of historic freight movement of 145 million tonnes, breaking all previous records in loading. Apart from commercial, the team of other departments was also engaged for a week in making it successful. DRM Vijay Kumar Sahu himself encouraged everyone by being present on this occasion.
The magnificent stage built in the stadium dazzled with colorful lights was telling the huge expenditure incurred on the event. According to railway sources, the budget in six digits has been spent on organizing this night. In this, complete arrangements were made for food and drink along with colorful songs, music, dance.
Famous Ghazal singer Sanatan Deep dominated the program which started at around quarter to ten. He enthralled the people present by presenting the songs of many singers. On this occasion, artists from other circles also added dance and music. The program continued till one o’clock late in the night. In this, officers of various companies having business relationship with railways, businessmen, leaders of railway union, departmental officers-employees and their family members participated.
