Goddess Kalratri is believed to be the seventh incarnation of Goddess Durga, who drives away all negative energies. According to popular belief, she is the destroyer of demons and ghosts.

Presence

Goddess Kalratri stands out from other incarnations as she is dark in complexion and adorns loose hair. She also holds iron hooks in her two left hands, while the other hands are in abhaya and varada mudras.

Kumkum (vermilion), red flowers and a lemon garland are offered to Goddess Kalratri. It is believed that he likes jaggery or jaggery, so his bhog includes dishes made from jaggery.

This year Chaitra Navratri will start from 2nd April and end on 11th April.
