Center will help J&K students returning from Ukraine to complete their studies: Lt Governor Sinha

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said the Center and his administration are seriously concerned about the future of students expelled from war-torn Ukraine and working on a policy to make their studies easier in the country. Sinha was interacting with a group of MBBS students from the Union Territory who returned from Ukraine at the Raj Bhavan here.

Assured the students that the Government of India and the Union Territory Government are deeply concerned about their future and are working on a policy so that they can complete their studies in the country, he tweeted and shared a picture with the students in which Both boys and girls were involved. A BJP spokesperson said the students’ group was led by party secretary Arvind Gupta and submitted a memorandum expressing gratitude for the concern shown by the government in expelling them from Ukraine.

Through the memorandum, the spokesperson said that he expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the successful conduct of Operation Ganga, which led to the safe return of Indian students killed in Ukraine after the Russian invasion. He said the students expressed their gratitude to Sinha for his unconditional support in managing the crisis.

The spokesperson said that he is also grateful to the local administration for acting as a bridge between the parents and the government. He said the students shared their concerns about future studies due to the current situation in Ukraine and requested the Lt Governor to help them continue their studies in India.
