CEMRI organizes virtual events for medium, small and micro enterprises

New Delhi, Aug 24: Durgapur-based Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CEMRI) on Tuesday organized a virtual program for medium, small and micro enterprises to provide them access to the institute’s high-end equipment and facilities. . According to a statement, the webinar was attended by over 65 officials and entrepreneurs from Central Tool Room and Training Centre, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Patna and Guwahati and Nagaland. CSIR-CMERI has already opened its CNC Bay consisting of five advanced Axis Milling Machines.

Other advanced infrastructure options for the industry and MSMEs include fluid-bed heat treatment services, wire-arc additive manufacturing and 3D printing services and non-contact 3D surface profilers, the statement said. CMERI has horizontal length measuring machines, laser interferometer measurement systems, use of lubricant oil analysis services, NDT-metallurgy, among other equipment, it said.
