Celina Jaitly Misses Late Son Shamsher Ahead Of His Birthday: ‘He Would Have Been 7 Years Old’ – News18

Celina Jaitly lost one of her newborn twins, Shamsher, during her second pregnancy in 2017. The boy passed away due to a heart condition. Celina shared a touching video on Instagram in memory of her son, having pictures from her second pregnancy and recent images near her son’s grave with her other sons Winston, Viraaj and Shamsher’s twin Arthur.

In a heart-wrenching note, Celina opened up on the incident saying, “As baby Arthur’s birthday approaches on the 10th of September many different emotions overwhelm me as I remember all that we’ve been through… All that could have been …. We lost Arthur’s twin Shamsher to a hypoplastic heart and this is very difficult to fathom even after 6 years.”

Highlighting the impact of the heart-breaking episode on her, she added, “As a mother and as parents our pain is different … All mothers and fathers would understand …. Thinking of Shamsher… With a heavy heart, he would have been 7 years old with Arthur.”

In 2023, Celina posted a picture of herself holding Arthur and with her husband Peter Haag. The actress also shared a close-up photo of the baby in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and the whole family. It was accompanied by a long note encapsulating her experience after the incident. She divulged, “I went into labour at 32 weeks due to my father’s sudden passing.) It was difficult for Peter and I but we smiled after many million tears in this photograph (1) to seal a happy memory for our blessed baby Arthur Haag’s arrival as he went straight to NICU in an incubator for 3 months immediately upon his arrival.”

Celina and Peter Haag married in 2011. In 2012, the couple became parents to twin boys, Winston and Viraaj. In 2017, she delivered Shamsher and Arthur.
