The wife of Dawood Ibrahim’s alleged henchman Riyaz Bhati has accused her husband and many high profile people of the country of rape. He has lodged a complaint on September 24 at Santacruz police station in Mumbai. However, the police have not yet registered an FIR on his complaint.

Those accused by the woman include cricketers Munaf Patel and Hardik Pandya, Congress leaders Rajeev Shukla and Prithviraj Kothari. In her complaint, the woman has not mentioned any place or date where she was raped along with the names of the four.

Police accused of not registering a case
While Riyaz’s wife has identified Pandya and Patel as cricketers, Shukla has been described as the former president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In his application, he has not given any details about Kothari. He told a media organization that he is a bullion trader.

A complaint was given to the police on behalf of the woman in September.

She said that I am trying to register an FIR with the police, but they are not doing so. I had applied in September, but now it is November. I tried several times to get information from the police officers on this. I was asked to pay some money in return, but why should I spread corruption? I am right in my place. Criminals are those people. Mumbai Police has also admitted that an application has been received, but said they have “no further details at this time”.

Many cases are registered on Bhati

Bhati is accused of extorting extortion from bar and restaurant owners at the behest of sacked police officer Sachin Vajhe.

Riyaz Bhati has several cases of alleged extortion, forgery and land grabbing registered against him. His name is also registered in the FIR of extortion against former Mumbai Police Chief Parambir Singh.
