Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, who met on the sets of ‘Lagaan’ and fell in love, announced their divorce after 15 years of marriage. In their joint divorce statement, Aamir and Kiran assured everyone that they would co-parent their son Azad. “We would now like to start a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family to each other. We began a planned separation a while back, And now feel comfortable formalizing this arrangement, to live apart and share our lives as one extended family. We remain devoted parents to our son Azad, to be brought up and raised We will nurture together.”
