CBSE will waive exams, registration fees for students who lose parents due to Kovid-19

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced in a humane gesture to waive off the examination and registration fees of students who have lost their parents due to COVID-19.

Accordingly, CBSE has asked all the schools to provide the details of these students after due verification.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected the country and keeping in view its impact on the students, CBSE as a special measure for the academic session 2021-22 has decided that neither the examination fee Nor will the registration fee be charged. Board from student(s) who have lost both parents or surviving parents or legal guardian/adoptive parents due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” read the official notice issued by CBSE.

“Therefore, the schools will provide the details of these students after verifying the genuineness of these students while submitting the LOC,” the notice said.

CBSE had earlier asked all schools to send the list of class 10th and class 12th candidates without late fee by September 30 and with late fee by October 9.

CBSE, which has revised the syllabus this year, will conduct the first-ever examinations for class 10 and 12 students from November to December.

As per the new syllabus, students will be continuously assessed and several projects and activities will be conducted for proper marks distribution.

Class 10 and 12 are divided into two terms- Term 1 and Term 2. The examinations will be conducted at the end of each term.
