New Delhi: Noting that any policy framed by CBSE Must be student friendly Supreme court It canceled its rule on Friday, according to which the marks obtained in the improvement examination will be considered final even if the marks obtained in the original examination is less than the marks obtained in the original examination.
a bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar And CT Ravikumar Said that there was no rationale behind the decision taken by the Board and directed that the policy of better use of two digits be counted for the final declaration of results. It said that the board failed to provide any explanation for adopting such a policy and added that any police made by the board should be student friendly.
The court passed the order on a petition filed by a group of students objecting to Clause 28 of the policy, according to which even if the marks obtained in the original examination were higher than that of the improvement examination, the marks of the improvement examination would be considered final.
“Consequently, we have no hesitation in setting aside the condition specified in clause 28 that in accordance with the policy, the marks obtained in the subsequent examination shall be treated as final,” the bench said.
Hearing the matter last month, Supreme Court CBSE had said that CBSE should consider the problem of those students, who appeared in the examination last year to improve their marks in class 12th but got less marks, as this would affect the admissions availed by them for higher studies. .
