CBI registers corruption case against officials of Delhi Jal Board, NBCC

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday (July 9, 2022) booked the officials of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and NBCC for allegedly favoring an ineligible private company in a contract worth Rs 38 crore for supply. He said that various property documents have also been recovered from the residence of the then General Manager of NBCC.

The agency registered a case against former Delhi Jal Board officials – Chief Engineer Jagdish Kumar Arora, Superintending Engineer PK Gupta, Executive Engineer Sushil Kumar Goel, Assistant Engineer Ashok Sharma, AAO Ranjit Kumar – and the then General Manager, NBCC, DK Mittal and the project executive. has done. “It was alleged that the accused had conspired to provide undue advantage to the said private company and made it technically qualified (which was otherwise allegedly not eligible),” the CBI spokesperson said.

It was further alleged that a tender was floated in December, 2017 for Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning (SITC) of Electromagnetic Flow Meter (SITC) and related O&M operations for five years of Delhi Jal Board.

“It is also alleged that due to conspiracy of the accused with the said private company and false certificates and fabricated deviation statements issued by NBCC, the said private company qualified and secured the tender of Rs 38.02 crore,” the statement said. The statement said.
