The director and officials of the institute, Affinity Education, were allegedly manipulating the online examination of JEE (Mains) and getting into top NITs in huge numbers by allowing aspiring students to solve question papers through remote access from a chosen examination centre. were providing access. It is alleged that the accused used to obtain class 10 and 12 mark sheets, user IDs, passwords and post-dated checks as security from the interested students in different parts of the country and once the admission was made, they collected huge amount. The engineering entrance exam concluded on Thursday. The exam, which is otherwise conducted twice, was conducted this year in four sessions.
The agency launched a search operation in 20 premises. CBI has named three directors- Siddhartha in its FIR Dark woman, Vishwambhar Mani Tripathi and Govind Varshney. The searches were conducted in various cities including Delhi-NCR, Pune, Bengaluru, Jamshedpur and Indore. The agency said the team also landed at the premises of its associates and the staff posted at the examination centre.
