An avalanche was reported today in Jammu and Kashmir’s popular hill station Sonamarg, a video of which has been widely shared online.

The avalanche was reportedly filmed near Baltal area in Sonamarg, which is located in Ganderbal district in central Kashmir. As per reports, two avalanches were reported in the area and there were no casualties.

Fresh snowfall in the higher reaches of the valley pushed the night temperature across Kashmir above the freezing point.
