New Delhi: The national capital has gotten a makeover to welcome global leaders who are coming down to India for attending the main event of the G20 Summit in September. Amid this, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been into a tussle over payment.
Delhi BJP claimed that all the expenses done over revamping the national capital was funded by the Centre that was later dismissed by the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP. Delhi President of BJP unit Virendra Sachdeva challenged the Chief Minister if the latter can make reference to any project that the Delhi government had funded.
He even claimed that the mural concept was first introduced by the central government in the Pragati Maidan tunnel and later in the New Delhi City Council (NDMC) area.

As per media sources, the Delhi BJP will soon convene a press conference to present the full list of G20-related development projects in Delhi exclusively funded by the central government.
The spokesperson and members of the Delhi BJP office will also disseminate information about the contributions of the Modi government to the transformation of Delhi through short videos.
AAP Responds And Claims That Centre Funded Mere Two Projects
Dismissing all claims, the AAP said that there are only two projects that the Centre has funded for, those are: the projects on roads by NDMC (New Delhi Municipal Corporation) and NHAI (National Highway Authority of India).
“It is shocking to see that the BJP had to pass the developmental work done by the AAP government as their own. All money on PWD roads was spent by the PWD of Delhi Govt., and all money on the MCD roads was spent by the MCD,” AAP said.
Accusing the saffron party of “dirty politics,” the AAP warned the Bharatiya Janata Party that such kind of tricks are noyt going to help India.
Make-up in Delhi
Raj Niwas officials said some 6,750,000 pots of flowers and foliage will adorn roads and designated sites in the nation’s capital for the G20 summit in September.
Key sites identified for this purpose include Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Dhaula Kuan-IGI Airport Road, Palam Technical Area, India C-Hexagon Gate, Mandi House, flare Army Road Akbar among other places.
The G20 summit will take place in India on September 9-10 with the attendance of many world leaders, including US President Joe Biden.
