Real Madrid have played three La Liga fixtures this season and Mbappe failed to produce anything significant in these matches. With his bland run of form making the headlines, Ancelotti seems to have come to the defence of theforward.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti does not look worried about Kylian Mbappe struggling to showcase his goal-scoring ability in the LaLiga. The French superstar completed his move to Real Madrid this summer. He has so far found the back of the net once this season and the goal came in the UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta. Real Madrid have already played three La Liga fixtures this season and Mbappe failed to produce anything significant in these matches. With his bland run of form making the headlines, Ancelotti seems to have come to the defence of the former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward. According to the Real Madrid manager, no one at the club is concerned about Mbappe.

Carlo Ancelotti spoke about the topic at a press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s last LaLiga game against Las Palmas. During the conversation, he referred to Vinicius Junior who is also yet to showcase his best form in the ongoing campaign.

“The last goal Mbappe scored was on 14 August in the Supercup and today is 28 August. That’s two weeks. It isn’t the time to worry. He isn’t worried, and neither are we. Vinicius hasn’t scored in three games, and he doesn’t look worried,” Carlo Ancelotti said, as quoted by 90Min.

Carlo Ancelotti showed his faith in the team and said, “What we need is a compact team. The work of the forwards is important and of the defenders. If a forward presses and the defence doesn’t step up, the team isn’t compact. If the defence drops deep and the forward doesn’t drop, the team isn’t compact. It isn’t about individuals.”

Regarded as one of the most prolific forwards, Kylian Mbappe scored a total of 44 goals across all competitions for PSG last season. He joined Real Madrid on a five-year deal. With the forwards struggling for goals, Real Madrid have won one of their three LaLiga matches so far this season. Their campaign opener against Mallorca ended in a 1-1 draw. Los Blancos bounced back in the second game and defeated Valladolid 3-0 at home. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Las Palmas.
