Kovind’s wife Savita Kovind told the administration and police officials that such a situation should not happen again. Commissioner Asim Arun, DCP South Raveena Tyagi and DCP (Traffic) BBGTS Murthy visited Vandana’s house with a condolence message from the President and apologized to her family on Saturday. In a tweet, it was said that Kovind is distressed by this incident. Additional DCP (Kanpur South) has been asked to investigate, while a sub-inspector and three constables have been suspended.
