Former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh’s Punjab Lok Congress Party has got the recognition of the Election Commission. His party has got the hockey stick-ball election symbol. After getting the recognition of the commission, the Captain expressed his happiness and said that the goal is yet to be scored.

The Congress removed Captain from the CM’s chair three and a half months before the elections. After this the Captain left the Congress. He formed the Punjab Lok Congress Party. Through which he is contesting Punjab elections this time.

Captain Amarinder with BJP this time

Captain Amarinder Singh is contesting elections in Punjab in alliance with the BJP. Shiromani Akali Dal Samyukta is also in alliance with Captain and BJP. However, the seat allocation has not been done yet. The Captain says that he will distribute the seat only on the basis of victory. Where whose candidate is strong, other allies will help them.

For the distribution of seats, a committee of 6 members of BJP, Punjab Lok Congress and Akali Dal joint has been formed. In which his son Raninder Singh from Captain’s party, Parminder Dhindsa, son of Sukhdev Dhindsa from Akali Dal Samyukta and BJP leaders are included. However, the alliance has not announced any candidate so far.

Akali Dal’s taunt on Congress

The Akali Dal took a jibe at the Congress as soon as Captain Amarinder Singh’s party got the election symbol. Akali Dal spokesperson Dr. Daljit Cheema said that Hockey Captain i.e. Pragat Singh has gone to Congress and now Congress Captain i.e. Amarinder Singh will have to play hockey.
