Sources said that Amarinder reached Shah’s residence around 6 pm and the meeting lasted for about an hour. People close to him called it a mere ‘courtesy call’.

A top party source told CNN-News 18, “We will not take back the agriculture bill, but the Captain will have to give a way that will benefit both sides.”
On Tuesday, dismissing speculations that he was in Delhi to meet senior BJP leaders, the former chief minister had said that he had come on a personal visit with the main intention of vacating the Kapurthala House for the new Punjab chief minister.
Thukral had also clarified that the reason for his visit was personal.
