ear queen, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is known for experimenting with her red carpet looks, brought her A-game to the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival 2022. Aishwarya walked the red-carpet in an ensemble designed by Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana and Gaurav Gupta.
Aishwarya, who has been a part of the Cannes Film Festival for over two decades, has always celebrated global fashion on the red carpet. This year, before stepping into the red-carpet event, Aishwarya posed for shutterbugs with her dear friend Eva Longoria wearing a Valentino on the first day.
Celebrity stylist Aastha Sharma posted a series of pictures of Aishwarya on Instagram and captioned the post with the caption: “We wear pink on Wednesdays” Let’s start it… (sic).
The hot pink pantsuit from the brand’s Pierpaolo Piccioli collection was teamed with matching colored shoes. The monochrome shade resonated with Piccioli’s message, the designer posted on Instagram, which read: ‘Pink is a liberation from the need to depict the world in a realistic way.’
After a vibrant first look for the day, Aishwarya stunned the Cannes red carpet in a black gown adorned with multicolored flowers.
A large number of colorful flowers were arranged neatly giving the illusion of a flower bed. The corset-style top and voluminous bottom played up the perfect monochromatic canvas for this colorful flower arrangement. Styled by Aastha Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s hair and makeup were done by Stephen Lancian and Val Garland respectively.
For her final look, Aishwarya wore a custom gown by Gaurav Gupta, The Venus Sculpture. Inspired by the birth of Venus, Gaurav created the ensemble as a tribute to the goddess of beauty and love, who rose from the scalloped shell and crossed into infinity, pure as a pearl.

Aishwarya was accompanied by her husband and actor Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya on this trip. While her red-carpet look received mixed reactions on social media, Aishwarya carried every look with utmost grace and elegance.
