A case of theft of lakhs has come to the fore in the house of a cancer-stricken widow woman in Deh, Salon. Thieves were sitting in the woman’s house, he knew that there were only children in the woman’s house besides him. Thieves entered the house around 12 o’clock in the night and took away jewelry and clothes including 30 thousand rupees in cash. On realizing the theft, the victim raised an alarm and the police patrolling reached the spot, but by then the thieves had escaped.

Rajkumari, who was building a house in her farm between village Duhia and entire Makandi, under Parsdepur outpost of Deh police station area, told that thieves entered her house at around 12 o’clock in the night. Hearing the sound of a knock, the woman saw that the thieves were taking the box by breaking into the house. When the woman started screaming, the thieves ran away with their belongings. Hearing the sound, Parsadepur police patrolling also reached the spot. The thieves escaped even after trying hard. The victim has given a complaint in the outpost.

The woman told that she had recently received 30 thousand 500 rupees in cash of potatoes sold, which the thieves took with them. She would use this money for running her house and for her treatment. Apart from this, goods worth about 60 thousand rupees including gold nail, pohli, child’s girdle, locket, two boxes and clothes etc. were stolen. In this way about 90 thousand rupees have been stolen from the house of the applicant. Please tell that the husband of the victim has died about 5 years ago. With them two daughters Lakshmi (18), Khushboo (16) and a son Akash (13) live together. The victim herself is suffering from cancer. Outpost in-charge Nikhalesh Kumar told that the thieves will be caught soon and all possible help will be given to the victim.
