Calcutta High Court Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava to visit Allahabad

The Calcutta High Court got a permanent Chief Justice. The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Justice Prakash Srivastava of the Madhya Pradesh High Court as the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court. On that recommendation, Justice Prakash Srivastava is going to sit at the top of the Calcutta High Court. Acting Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court Rajesh Bindal. Justice Prakash Srivastava was born in 1971. He started working as a lawyer in 1986. He has been a lawyer in the Supreme Court for a long time as an expert on tax and constitutional matters. He joined the Madhya Pradesh High Court as a judge in 2008. Then in 2010 he was appointed as a permanent judge.




Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the final decision was taken on the appointment of judges of several other courts apart from Kolkata and Allahabad. Justice Vishwanath Samaddar is set to be appointed as the Chief Justice of the Sikkim High Court. Prior to this he was the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court. Meanwhile, Justice TS Sivaganam is coming from Madras to Calcutta High Court. Justice Soumen Sen and Justice Arindam Singh are going from Kolkata to Orissa High Court.
