CAG hints at additional expenditure of Telangana government. Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: As per controller and the Auditor General (CAG) According to the report for the financial year ending 2020, the state government has been spending more on the authority for the last few years, which is a matter of concern.

The CAG also pointed out that due diligence was not done for clearance of advances from the Contingency Fund. These advances were also not fully utilized for the intended purpose nor were they paid in full within the financial year.
During the financial year 2019-20, revenue receipts increased marginally by Rs 1,124 crore (1.11%) over the previous year, while revenue expenditure increased by Rs 11,715 crore (12.07%). Committed expenditure on interest payment increased by Rs 1,800 crore (14.30%) over the previous year. During 2019-20, the state continued to spend less on education and health.
