The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Ashwini Bhatia, Managing Director, State Bank of India, as SEBI Whole Time Member (WTM).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, he has been appointed as SEBI WTM initially for three years.
SEBI already has two WTMs – Anant Barua and SK Mohanty. Sources said that with Bhatia being appointed as WTM, only one post of WTM is to be filled in SEBI now.
