In Haryana, the cabinet expansion of the coalition government comprising Bharatiya Janata Party and Jannayak Janata Party will take place at 4 pm on Tuesday. Haryana CM Manohar Lal met the Governor on Monday regarding this.

A total of 90 seats in the Haryana Legislative Assembly and in this sense, a maximum of 14 ministers can be made here. At present, there are 12 ministers in the state cabinet including CM Manohar Lal and Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala. BJP has 40 MLAs. BJP has nine ministers including CM out of 40. While an independent MLA Ranjit Singh is also included in the cabinet. On the other hand, Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala and Minister of State Anoop Dhanak are from JJP. One cabinet and one minister of state are vacant in the cabinet. The cabinet minister’s post is vacant for JJP quota and the state minister’s post is vacant for BJP quota.

In cabinet expansion, caste equations will be kept in mind.

Tohana MLA Devendra Babli is set to become a minister on the vacant post of JJP quota. Devendra Babli’s victory was big. But the defeat of the then BJP President Subhash Barala became a hindrance in Babli becoming a minister.

BJP has 8 MLAs from Agrawal Samaj

On the other hand, there is no MLA of Agrawal Samaj from BJP quota yet. In such a situation, the MLA of Hisar from BJP quota, Kamal Gupta can be included in the cabinet. Haryana Assembly Speaker and Panchkula MLA Gyanchand Gupta is also aspiring for the minister’s post. If Gyanchand Gupta is made a minister, then the speaker’s chair can go to Kamal Gupta. But the chances of that are very less. Because the post of Minister of State is vacant in the quota of BJP. Whereas the rank of Speaker of the Legislative Assembly is equal to that of a cabinet minister. In such a situation, the chances of Gyan Chand Gupta becoming a minister of state are slim. Earlier, there were discussions about the leave of three sitting ministers of Haryana, but permission was not received from the BJP high command.

Deputy CM has 12 ministries

When Tohana MLA Babli joins the cabinet, Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala will have to give some of his 12 ministries to him. It is so certain that BJP will not give any ministry to Devendra Babli from its quota. Babli had hinted at a program in Fatehabad recently to become a minister himself.

Cabinet expansion was stuck due to farmers’ movement

The cabinet expansion in Haryana was stalled for a long time. The main reason for this was the peasant movement. After the farmers’ agitation, the CM had a meeting with the PM. The CM met the Governor on Monday only after getting the green signal from the high command for the cabinet expansion.
