Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund fight for victory, give edge to Bayern Munich – Henri Club

Borussia Dortmund came back from a two-goal draw, beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3–2 after a weak start and returned some element of excitement to the Bundesliga title race. Mahmoud Dahoud’s 89th-minute winner took Dortmund six points behind Bayern Munich on Saturday.

All three goals were scored for Dortmund by Erling Haaland, who could easily have scored four in Frankfurt.

“It’s very annoying,” said Dortmund defender Matt Hummels.

“It’s a big issue for us, that we aim for nothing, that we always accept in circumstances that no goal should be given.

“It was the same with both goals today. It happened two or three times in Berlin (3-2 loss to Hertha before the winter break), and it was the case against Bayern, twice through me unfortunately. And so on It’s time, and then you don’t always win. Stability is something we need to make our top priority if we want a chance at anything. The efforts of Hollande and Julian Brandt showed some hope for visitors around the hour. Thoran Hazard withdrew a goal in the 71st after being sent off by Holland.

The Norwegians rejoined before Thomas Meunier set up Jude Bellingham for the equalizer, and before Dahoud had curled in a late winner.
