Delhi Police officials said there is a possibility of Neeraj Bishnoi’s alleged involvement in the first ‘Sully Deal’ case and they are probing the matter. “There is a possibility that his network is linked to Sully Deal. The equipment used by him is being scanned. Through that we can reach out to the culprits of Sully Deal also,” he said.

The Delhi Police on Friday said that the probe so far in the ‘Bully Bye’ application case has revealed that the mastermind had an intention to gain publicity and establish his identity. The investigation has so far not revealed the involvement of anyone else in motivating Neeraj Bishnoi (21) to indulge in such activities and his action can be attributed to the social media material used by him.

Interestingly, in a case registered in South West district where a woman journalist had filed a complaint, Bishnoi had allegedly posed as a media person and tried to mislead the investigation by the cyber cell unit, Police said.

“During the investigation of the Sully deal, he tried to mislead our team by calling us on WhatsApp by posing as a media person.

He also tried to extract information about the developments of the investigation.
We got it through his phone records,” said the police officer.

Police said on Friday that Bishnoi, the creator of the Bulli Bai application, had earlier created an account on Twitter making lewd comments on a complainant’s picture and even tweeted about the person’s auction. One such case came to the fore when the investigation of the Sully Deal case was going on. He told that through this handle he had tried to give some information about the potential promoter/promoter of Sully Deals App.

With the arrest of the engineering student, the Delhi Police had said it has resolved the matter related to listing hundreds of Muslim women for “auction” on the Bulli Buy app on the Github platform. During interrogation, it was found that Bishnoi had earlier created several Twitter handles with the initials of “Giyu” who is a gaming character. A senior police officer said the handles have been identified as @giyu2002, @giyu007, @giyuu84, @giyu94 and @giyu44.

“The account @ giyu2002 has been found linked to an FIR lodged at Kishangarh Police Station, South-West Delhi.
In this case, he had made lewd comments on the picture of a complainant from this Twitter account and also tweeted about his auction. Accused on January 3, 2022, in the Bulli Bai App case with the specific agenda of openly challenging the law enforcement agencies to downplay and apprehend the arrests made by the Mumbai Police. Police said Bishnoi had also tried to show his identity from Nepal.

“The account @ giyu007 came to light when the Sully Deal case was under investigation. Through this handle he had tried to give some information about the possible promoter/promoter of Sully Deals App,” the police said. During this, Bishnoi also created a fake profile of a girl and tried to communicate with the investigating agency as a news reporter. Besides, he came in contact with various news correspondents and tried to spread their misinformation with their nefarious goals, the DCP said.

Police said that the father of the accused runs a ration shop and the accused has two elder sisters. Further investigation is on, he said. Bishnoi, a resident of Jorhat, who studies computer science engineering in Bhopal, was the fourth person to be arrested for his alleged involvement in the case. The other three, who were arrested by the Mumbai Police, include a 19-year-old woman from Uttarakhand who is alleged to be the prime accused in the case. Bulli Bai app was developed in November last year and updated in December.
Bishnoi was also keeping a close eye on social media.

Police said Bishnoi, during his interrogation, revealed that he created the “Bully Bai” app on Github as well as the @bullibai_Twitter handle and others. The Twitter account was created on December 31st.
