BTS: Military Who Don’t Get PTD On Stage Concert Tickets Are Donating Savings To Help Ukraine, Other Causes

It was no surprise when tickets to BTS’s upcoming Permission to Dance on Stage in Las Vegas sold out within hours. But the surprising thing is how the fans who did not get the tickets are reacting. Hours after tickets went on sale for all four days of the concert, organizers revealed that the passes had sold out, leaving many fans disappointed.

But the fans decided to put the money saved for the concert to a better use. BTS fans, also known as Legion, shared on Twitter how they would donate the money they had saved, to a number of charitable organizations and in particular to help those affected by the Russo-Ukraine War.

A fan’s comment on BTS’s recent tweet featuring rapper J-Hope read, “Hosok, I failed to get tickets. But I’m glad to see you other ARMY. See you after ten years. That’s a lot. It’s hard (to get a ticket). My heart hurts. I donated money for the ticket. I donated it to the embassy of Ukraine…peace.”

While many fans are tweeting and celebrating with screengrabs of their tickets, there are other BTS fans who are sharing how they stay optimistic about another concert.

A BTS fan, who failed to secure tickets to a concert at a former South Korean band concert, tweeted how they would once again donate money to a noble cause. The tweet read, ‘I also failed to get tickets during the ‘Speak Yourself’ concert and donated money to UNICEF. This time, I once again failed to get the ticket. I thought about that time before so I donated the ticket money so that I don’t mind. I will think of my next opportunity and support you guys from afar. I will see you guys doing amazing on stage. I turn you purple.”

Another Korean fan of BTS, who failed to secure tickets to their upcoming concert in the United States, tweeted, “Although ticketing was unsuccessful, the remaining ticket expenses were donated to Ukrainian children. I’m happy to spend, so it just feels right to spend it on a good cause!”

Netizens are in awe of these fans who are making their sorrows more useful. One of BTS fans commented, “You may have been upset, but you have a beautiful heart. A kind army. Let’s be successful next time. See you again.”

Starting next week, BTS will hold its first concert in Seoul since the pandemic hit the world. Septet will perform in front of a live audience on March 10, 12 and 13. The band will then continue their concerts in the US on April 8, 9, 15 and 16.
