BTS fans were curious about Park Jimin for the past few days as he was the only person who was completely inactive on the social media platform. Now that ARMY has finally got an update about them from their agency, they are saddened as the Serendipity singer has contracted COVID-19. Not only this, he also got surgery for acute appendicitis. The statement shared by BIGHIT Music on Weavers read, “Hello. This is bigit music. We would like to provide you the following information regarding the current health status of BTS member Jimin. On the afternoon of January 30, Jimin suddenly developed a slight pain in the throat along with a stomach ache. He visited the emergency room of the hospital for a thorough check-up and also did a PCR test. Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and tested positive for COVID-19. He underwent surgery on the morning of Monday, January 31, following a doctor’s advice.”
However, he said Jimin’s surgery was successful. “According to the medical staff, the surgery was successful and Jimin is currently recovering after his procedure. He will receive a few days of inpatient treatment for COVID-19 along with postoperative care. He is currently suffering from a mild sore throat. is experiencing, but is recovering rapidly, and had no contact with other members during the infectious stage.”
