BigHit Music, the agency that represents BTS, has released a statement regarding the group’s rapper J-Hope, who is currently completing his mandatory military service. The entertainment company has now appealed to the BTS ARMY, the group’s devoted fans, to refrain from certain activities including sending gifts, letters and visiting the training camp site.
In a statement released on May 23 via fan community platform Weavers, BigHit Music urged fans to refrain from sending letters and gifts even after J-Hope completed military recruitment training.
The statement read, “Hello, this is BigHit Music. Thank you to all the fans who have always shown their love to BTS. Thank you for your kind consideration and support. Last April, BTS member J-Hope has entered the military. And now responsibly performing his duties in training camp. Thank you for showing your interest and support on the day he entered. It further said, “Please refrain from sending letters and gifts even after you have finished your military recruit training and are stationed at your military base. It is known that popular BTS rapper Jung Hoseok aka Jhope (Hobi) was inducted into compulsory military service in April. Reportedly, the rapper quietly entered the training center in a vehicle without any special greetings. Following his car were the cars of other members including Jimin, Jungkook, BTS V, Suga and RM. All the members reportedly attended the entrance ceremony to bid farewell to the hut. Also, at the recruitment site, BTS’ Jin, who is currently serving in the military, accompanied the members to welcome Hobi into the military.
