The exam is scheduled to take place on August 29, 2024. This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 1,294 vacancies for the position of Assistant Urdu Translator. 

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has released the admit cards for the Sahayak Urdu Anuwadak (Assistant Urdu Translator) Mains Exam 2024 against the advertisement number 01/19. Candidates who have qualified for the Mains exam can download their admit cards from the official website, onlinebssc.com. The exam is scheduled to take place on August 29 in two shifts across the state.

This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 1,294 vacancies for the position of Assistant Urdu Translator. The exam will be held in two shifts, and the candidates need to bring a hard copy of their admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam centre.

The main exam will consist of two descriptive papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The duration of the examination is three hours and each paper carries 100 marks thus totalling 200 marks for the main paper. Paper 1 is Urdu grammar, abbreviation in Urdu, letter and essay writing and Paper 2 is translation from Hindi to Urdu, Urdu to Hindi, English to Urdu, and English to Hindi

Step 1: Visit the official website, onlinebssc.com

Step 2: Click on the admit card link which will appear on the home screen

Step 3: Enter all the required documents for logging in

Step 4: A new page will appear which will have the admit card

Step 5: Check the details correctly

Step 6: Save and download and take a screenshot or printout of it for future reference

The exam-conducting board will accept applications from Indian citizens only. The candidate must make sure they have valid documents to support their citizenship before applying for this post. Candidates must have completed their class 12 education or equivalent from a government-recognised board or university with Urdu as a subject.

The minimum age for applying is 18 years, and the maximum age varies based on the candidate’s category. For the general category male candidates, it is 37 years and for the general category female candidates, OBC and EBC (male and female) it is 40 years. For the SC/ST female and male candidates the maximum age is 42 years.
