An iron ring and a shiny strip were found attached to the bag, the official said.

BSF personnel recovered over three kilograms of heroin, which was allegedly dropped by a Pakistani drone, near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Amritsar, an official said on Saturday.

A spokesperson of the Border Security Force (BSF) said security personnel heard the buzzing of a drone at 3.21 am near Mullakot village in Amritsar, which allegedly entered Indian territory from across the International Border.

BSF personnel opened fire on the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.

The spokesman said that during the ensuing search operation, BSF personnel recovered a bag containing three packets of heroin weighing 3.20 kg from a wheat field in Bachiwind village.

An iron ring and a shiny strip were found attached to the bag, the official said.
