Springsteen’s performance was met with applause from survivors and family members of the victims, who died on a gruesome day two decades ago.
The song, the final track on their 2020 album Letter to You and released in March 2021, was released to Australian record executive Michael Gudinsky, who died a day before the song’s release at the age of 68.
