Britain’s military said its Twitter and YouTube accounts were hacked on Sunday.

London: Britain’s military said its Twitter and YouTube accounts were hacked on Sunday.

As of 1800 GMT, the handle @BritishArmy, which has been verified by Twitter, had retweeted several posts promoting non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on its timeline.

Senna’s YouTube account was renamed ‘Ark Invest’ and featured a number of cryptocurrency-related videos.

“We are aware of the breach of the Army’s Twitter and YouTube accounts and are investigating,” an Army spokesman said.

“We take information security very seriously and are resolving this issue. It would be inappropriate to comment further until the investigation is complete.”

Sena’s Twitter feed currently has 362,000 followers, while the YouTube channel has 177,000 subscribers.

Ark Invest is the name of a global investment firm. The company did not immediately respond to requests for comment submitted via email and the company’s website.
