BREAKING: 10m Air Rifle Team Win 1st Gold For India in Asian Games

10m Air Rifle Team: Divyansh Panwar, Aishwary Tomar, Rudrankkash Patil are the ones to bring India 1st Gold in ongoing Asian Games 2023 in China’s Hangzhou.

The Indian men’s 10m air rifle team won the gold medal on Monday, Spetember 25. However, the Indian trio also made a new world record with this feat. This achievement was reached during the individual qualifying round of the men’s 10m air rifle event at the Fuyang Yinhu Sports Center in Hangzhou.

The total score of the Indian trio was 1893.7, 0.4 points higher than the previous world record set by Chinese shooters last month at the ISSF World Championship in Baku.

Rudrankksh, who finished third in the qualifiers, led the Indian team with scores of 104.8, 104.3, 104.6, 104.7, 106.3 and 104.9 on the second day of competition.

Aishwary finished with 631.6 (104.1, 105.5, 105.3, 105.7, 105.7, 105.3) while Divyansh contributed with 629.6 (104.8, 104.3, 104.6, 104.7, 106.3, 104.9).

South Korea won the silver medal with a total score of 1890.1, while China won the bronze medal with a total score of 1888.2. Two Indian shooters Rudrankksh and Aishwary qualified for the final. Although Divyansh ranked 8th, he could not participate in the eight-man final because only two shooters from one country could participate.
