Scrutiny of applicants was conducted before the 68th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination, as a result of which 771 applicants were declared ineligible in all categories.

Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has published a list of applicants who have been found ineligible due to not meeting the mandatory cut-off for 68th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination Registration. The list of ineligible candidates can be checked at bpsc.bih.nic.in website.

Scrutiny of applicants was conducted before the 68th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination, as a result of which 771 applicants were declared ineligible in all categories. The candidates were disqualified because they were either underage or overage as on August 1, 2022. Ineligible applicants who wish to contest their disqualification may send their applications, along with supporting documents, to bpscpat-bih@nic.in by January 27.

The registration period for the 68th preliminary examination 2022 of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) ended on January 10. As per the BPSC exam time table, the preliminary exam will be held on February 12. This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 401 posts across the organization.

The commission has not prescribed any limit on the number of attempts unless the candidate does not exceed the maximum age restriction. However, the number of attempts has been capped at three for government employees who have been in continuous service for three years.

Meanwhile, BPSC had informed that there will be a change in the marking scheme and exam pattern of the 68th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE). The exam will be objective in nature and will take two hours to complete. The exam will be of 150 marks. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The preliminary exam will serve as a screening test from which applicants will be shortlisted for the main exam.

In the mains exam to be held on May 12, BPSC will conduct four subjective type tests and one MCQ-based paper. General Hindi, General Studies Paper-I, General Studies Paper-II, and Essay Writing are among the subjective papers. Each candidate will have three hours to complete the test. The cut-off for Mains is calculated on the basis of candidates’ performance in Essay Writing Test and General Studies Paper-I & II. To qualify, candidates must have secured at least 30 per cent marks in the General Hindi exam. Also, the applicants must have obtained minimum qualifying marks in the optional subject objective test.
