Box Office Report: ‘RRR’ starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR was a hit, while ‘The Kashmir Files’ did well on Monday

Directed by SS Rajamouli, ‘RRR’ has a powerful star cast including Jr NTR, Ram Charan. Alia Bhatt And Ajay Devgn is on fire! The magnum opus has finally reached the Rs 500 crore gross box office collection worldwide on its third day of release. Not only this, it has also become the highest grossing film at the worldwide box office after the pandemic. The film is currently competing at the box office with Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial venture ‘The Kashmir Files’, which released on March 11. starring film Anupam Kher And Mithun Chakraborty is in the lead role and is expected to enter the Rs 250 crore club soon. Talking about the collections on Monday, RRR will see a drop of 30% as compared to Friday, but the collection will be good around 17 crore net range.
A Box Office India report said, “RRR (Hindi) is now looking for a surefire hit as it collects in the 17 crore net range which is a drop of just 10-15% from Friday. Morning Collections There was a drop of almost 30% as compared to Friday but from noon onwards the film performed better on Friday as well. The collections now seem to be beating The Kashmir Files’ post pandemic Monday record which earned 14.80 crores net collection.

Well, sharing the film’s gross box office collection on his Twitter handle, Taran Adarsh wrote, “#RRR setting new benchmarks… Rs 500 cr [and counting]…GBOC across the globe *Opening Weekend* Biz…Extraordinary Monday on the cards… #SSRajamouli brings back the glory of Indian Cinema. Note: Non-holiday release. pandemic era.”
Whereas for ‘The Kashmir Files’, he shared, “#TheKashmirFiles is UNSTOPPABLE [third] Sun…Weekend 3 *Day Wise Growth* Despite tough competition Eye opener [#RRR]… now running towards ₹ 250 crores… [Week 3] Shukra 4.50 crores, Sato [updated] 7.60 crores, Surya 8.75 crores. Total: ₹ 228.18 crore. #IndiaBiz.”
Taran on Sunday also shared the list of top five Hindi films in the pandemic era based on their net box office collections in the country. ‘RRR’ tops this list. 31.50 crores.
Set in pre-independence India, ‘RRR’ is a fictional take on the youthful days of renowned freedom fighters, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, portrayed by Jr NTR and Ram Charan. The film also stars Samuthirakani, Olivia Morris, Alison Doody and Ray Stevenson.
Meanwhile, The Kashmir Files is a tough drama based on the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990. The film has been declared tax-free in several states including Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, Goa, Haryana and Uttarakhand. It also stars Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar.
