When it comes to the biggest ever opening day for a Ranveer Singh starrer, ’83 as the sixth highest opener for the superstar as far as first week collections are concerned, after reaching the seventh spot has come to the fore. It has managed to go some distance from Gunday, which incidentally is the only film on the list that could not enter the 100 crore club.
Here’s what Ranveer Singh’s first seven days collections looked like:
Simmba – 150.81 crores
Padmavat – 150.50 crores
Gully Boy – 95.20 crores
Bajirao Mastani – 86.15 crores
Ram Leela – 79.49 crores
’83 – 71.41 Cr*
Goons – 62.56 crores
Certainly all the movies on the list which are above ’83 are quite big and have managed to score hundreds (Gully Boy, Bajirao Mastani, Ram Leela), double century (Simba) and triple century (Padmavat). Going by the trends so far, ’83 will be below all these films and its best shot is to come close to Ram Leela (118.70 cr).
The first thing that ’83 needs to do is to step into the 100 crore club and aim for it by the third week. Meanwhile, RRR is also releasing this Friday and it will mean a tough journey for ’83’.
As far as Spider-Man: No Way Home is concerned, it is now a confirmed blockbuster, with a collection close to 200 crores. With around 189 crores already in its kitty, it will aim to make the most of the current weekend and enter the 200 crore club in the process. Really huge!
Meanwhile, Pushpa (Hindi) is also getting stronger and is approaching the 50 crore mark. Around 47.50 crores, the Allu Arjun starrer will easily score a fifty this weekend and then earn some more before RRR releases this Friday. Beat.
