Boomerang to release in theatres on February 24

Starring Samyukta Menon, Chemban Vinod Jose, Shine Tom Chacko, Baiju Santhosh and Dan Davis in lead roles, Malayalam comedy thriller Boomerang is all set to hit the screens on 24th February. The film was earlier scheduled to release on February 3, 2023. Announcing the same, the film’s director Manu Sudhakaran took to Instagram to share the new release date.

The comedy thriller focuses on how social media affects our lives and how it is misused. The director claims that Boomerang is a fictional film inspired by real events. Akhil Kavalayoor, Subbalakshmi, Nia, Aparna, Harikrishnan, Manju Subhash, Nimisha, Baby Parthavi and others also play pivotal roles in the film.

The one minute 46 seconds long trailer shows us three men who are searching for the love of their lives. One of them who is a police officer is not happy in his married life. We also see a gun-wielding woman at the end of the trailer.

It is to be noted that the screenplay of Boomerang has been penned by writer Krishnadas Panki, who is also the screenwriter of Shane Nigam starrer Bermuda, directed by ace director Rajeev Kumar.

Boomerang’s cinematography is handled by Vishnu Narayanan, while the film is edited by Akhil AR. Subir Ali Khan has composed the songs with lyrics by Ajith Perumbavoor.

The film looks like a great entertainer and will hit the theaters a few days from now. Boomerang is one such film which was earlier scheduled to release in July 2022.

The motion poster of the film, which was released earlier, had a trance mixed with a dreamy vibe and the film was positioned as an entertainer with some mystery elements. The overall design and color grading were vibrant too. The motion poster also states that Samyukta Menon will be seen playing a suspicious character. More details can be known only after the film hits the box office.
