Backed by Boney Kapoor, the film has been very well received by fans and critics alike. Talking about the same, Boney Kapoor recently shared that his team is happy with the response and it was ‘exactly what they expected before the release of the film’.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Boney Kapoor shared, “Actually, I was worried about a few things here and there, but then, seeing it in the cinema with the audience, it didn’t mean they didn’t approve of the film. Overall accepted and the subject has been appreciated by Ajith’s swag, performance, dialogue delivery, timing and of course other technicians and crew also.”
Boney has now worked with Ajith in three back-to-back films – ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’, ‘Valimai’ and ‘Thunivu’. Talking about the same, the filmmaker said, “I am getting all the love and affection in Ajith’s reflected glory and I am happy to accept it. I am glad that I got to work with him in 3 films . It’s been a wonderful journey.”
When asked about Ajith’s rise to stardom and his screen presence, the filmmaker shared that the credit goes to the actor’s ‘performance, personality and the kind of guy he is’. “All these things together create an aura around him. It is not always about bragging about yourself,” Kapoor told the entertainment portal.
Boney Kapoor also spoke about how Ajith does not attend any promotional events, but still his films are loved by all. Explaining why this is so, the filmmaker said, “He does not meet, talk or come for the Muhurat… He does not come for audio launches or promotions of his films. It is very important for an actor to promote a film, be it in Hollywood or Bombay, but he lives away and still his films get such bumper openings, which means something about him. is what he did right.
In the same interview, Boney Kapoor was also asked if he and Ajith are planning to collaborate again. To this, the filmmaker said, “It depends, because destiny plays a big role.”
