Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Thursday (November 25) dismissed an anticipatory bail plea filed by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra in connection with an FIR lodged against her for allegedly circulating obscene videos, according to PTI. According to a report. Kundra had filed an anticipatory bail plea seeking protection from arrest in the alleged porn film case. A day after Justice Nitin Sambre reserved the order, Kundra’s plea was dismissed. The court will issue a detailed order later.

The cyber cell of Mumbai Police has registered a case against Raj Kundra for allegedly sharing obscene videos under various sections of the IPC, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act and the IT Act, a PTI report said.

The businessman had sought anticipatory bail from the sessions court; However, it was rejected. He moved the Bombay HC seeking protection from arrest and claimed that he had been ‘framed’. His lawyers said that Kundra was in no way associated with the production or transmission of the alleged illegal video. He said the actors named as co-accused gave permission to shoot the video.
