BMW Unveils Next-Generation X3 SUV Globally, Know More

The latest X3 boasts a design more consistent with newer models like the X1 and X2. It has similarly shaped headlamps with new LED DRLs. The kidney grille on the 30e and 20 variants is larger with a new pattern, while the M50 variant sports a different grille layout and unique alloy wheels. The vehicle’s silhouette, though similar to its predecessor, appears more robust thanks to features like wider arches. The new X3 is 34 millimeters longer, 29 millimeters wider, and 25 millimeters shorter in height than the previous model.

Inside, the X3 has an interior layout akin to the latest 5-Series, X1, and X2. The interior, including the steering wheel, center console, and dashboard, has been updated for a modern look. Highlights include a 14.9-inch infotainment display and a 12.3-inch information display behind the steering wheel, combined into a single unit. The infotainment system runs the latest BMW iDrive with QuickSelect based on BMW Operating System 9. Additionally, the door sills and center console feature light elements.

Standard features include three-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, automatic tailgate operation, electric ORVMs, and BMW Live Cockpit Plus with the cloud-based BMW Maps navigation system. It also comes with BMW Driving Assistant and BMW Parking Assistant, which include Lane Change Warning, lane departure warning, manual Speed Limit Assist, reversing assistant, and a reversing assist camera.

The new X3 offers four powertrain options: a 3.0-liter inline-six petrol engine (393 bhp, 580 Nm, M50 variant), a 2.0-liter diesel engine (194 bhp, 400 Nm, 20d variant), a 2.0-liter petrol engine (208 bhp, 330 Nm, 20 variant), and a plug-in hybrid version of the 2.0-liter petrol engine (e30 variant). All engines include 48 V mild-hybrid technology and are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Currently, the outgoing model of the X3 is sold in India and has been popular among Indian buyers. The latest generation is expected to launch there in early 2025.
